Juicy Gossip

1) What Is The Problem Here? - I have been reading articles lately on O.J. Simpson's book that is due out soon. People are speculating that this is a confession from the once popular football player. Somehow we will not let sleeping dogs lie. I don't mean to be harsh but this is purely racial, as it has always been. If that had been a Black, Latino or Asian woman who had been murdered, we wouldn't have had so much coverage. His publisher (the publisher of his book -- no less) calls it a confession. Who asked her opinion? She must have thought highly of it to publish it since it is very hard to get a book published by a top publishing house. And now several stations will not be airing his interview, stating that they will not give Simpson that hype. Que? So, we will devote hours to poorly written dramas and comedies that yield low ratings but we do not want to tune into the interview. I am surprised that many stations opted not to air it on the 27th. I guess they'd feel like they'd be endorsing Simpson. They won't let that man alone. I guess it's because he's Black, what else could be the reason? People commit stuff all day long and go scot free and yet here we are once again revisiting the subject of his wife and her lover's murders. How often do we hear them discussing Till's murder or when they beat Rodney King? Why don't we revisit such issues that pertain to our nation such as why we are still at war, why there is so much filth and garbage on tv, why we aren't doing anything about North Korea, and why people will pay so much @ the movies to see such farces as Borat?

2) Beef, Chicken, Veal & Pork - Ahh, another beef between rappers. Start the presses! Stop the madness! Rebuke the devil! Get these people free of this foolishness. Jim Jones & Jigga Man r beefin. They need to sit down and rap their raps and let the dough roll in. This publicity of course, does increase their album sales. But isn't beef what caused Biggie and Pac to get clocked or was it lamb,no? Fish? Oysters? Jim and Hov need 2 take some chill pills and cool out.

3) Tom & Kat's Wedding - Let us rejoice and be glad that they married in a castle, with black cats (now, there weren't cats but there could have been), lighted candles, an aura of affinity and many scientology rituals. I was delighted to learn that scientology is so bewitching, and how it relates to reality and how the universe is full of aliens and you can pay to advance in levels or something like that. Not my cup of tea. Guess who wasn't there according to a Cali radio station, Ms. Winfrey. She apparently offended Cruise and he decided not to send her an invitation. What a loss! And I thought they were comrades. Amigos. As Atlantic Starr sings "Closer Than Close." And now there is buzz on what's next. Whatever it is, I am sure Star magazine will let you know or maybe Oprah will discuss it with Tom whenever he comes on her show again, which may not be anytime soon.

4) Unk's Walk It Out /Hip Hop Awards on BET- "Walk It Out" is a 3 minute dance song, which is not bad. Kind of catchy, kind of ignorant, but yet tolerable. He did a good performance on the Hip Hop Awards, which was ghetto 2 da bone btw. I'm for the Blackness and the uniqueness of our race but......we need some grown professionals. 30 & 40 yr olds need 2 dress a lil mo classy. Kat Williams was funny as he usually is. I wonder who will host is next yr. They need 2 get Lavelle Crawford to do it or Cedric The Entertainer.

Life has many parts, as for me and mine, I'm gonna keep them to myself.

Monday The 13th

1) Heads Up 2 The Democrats - I am glad that the Democrats won. Being liberal in America is something that is frowned upon. America is still even in 06 a conservative country founded on irrational beliefs and twisted ideals. We are still living in an age where women do not get the respect they deserve, Blacks are still being called nigga and being harrassed by 5-0 and at war over power. This is very saddening and sickening. I hope the Democrats will make a change up there in the House. It was funny watching the election results in STL to see how many of the newscasters were showing their disdain for the Democrat winner McCaskill. I never knew how many people still supported this war until then. We still have people who are eager and willing to say that the war is good. How can we continue to call this war good and yet men & women are dying every month, and even daily for a scavenger hunt of power. Unfortunately, in this hunt no egg will be found. How can a country back down that is founded on a religion that has beliefs in the extermination of Americans?

2) Some Reasoning On The Subject of Mother and Father God - Now we have another interpretation of God, that there is a mother and father God. Hmmm, never heard of it. From what I understand, God is a spirit, and the Bible refers to him as a HIM. If we glance at John 3:16, For God so loved the world that HE gave HIS only begotten son, that whoever believeth on HIM shall not perish but have everlasting life; therefore we can conclude that God is to be referred to as Father and Jesus tells each and every believer to pray to the Father. Are we denying the virgin birth? Is the New Age movement trying to make a mockery out of God or are they trying to get the world to believe rubbish over nonsense over more rubbish about there being a Mother God. God is not some far away prince in search of a princess, but HE is sovereign and there is none beside HIM and to suggest otherwise is a lie from the pit of hell. Another trick of the devil, trying to pull the wool over the eyes of people. To suggest that there is a man and woman God is unscriptural and unbiblical. God isn't a split personality case either.

3) RIP Gerald Levert & Journalist Ed Bradley.

4) Oprah Gold - Does Oprah have the Midas Touch? Ms. Winfrey is highly respected in the world. Everyone Oprah has endorsed has blown up. Dr. Phil. Rachael Ray. James Frey. It seems like whatever Oprah says is good - is good. Perhaps I need to come up with something and get on the Oprah show. With her status, I'd blow up too. Does Oprah have the Midas Touch? I wonder.

5) My Take On Stem Cell Research - I personally am torn on the subject of abortion. I do not agree with murder and that is what abortion is but I do agree that a woman should make up in her mind about whether she wants the child or not. I do agree that we need to find cures to many of these diseases. Many do not believe in God's healing power, so we need doctors and researchers to help us with the cures. But then again doctors are in the business of sustaining the sickness, not curing it. That is how they make their money. I am glad the stem cell amendment passed, but I know many will be protesting it. But people die everyday and will continue to unless we find cures to diseases such as diabetes, cancer and a more common disease nowadays known as AIDS.

Not Too Much Going On

1) The Standstill - I am wondering how tonight's voting will go. I am eager to see whether or not America is really ready for a change or do we continue down the path of being Bushified and Repubified. Don't get me wrong, Bush did a positive thing by getting Saddam out of Iraq but let's not go and ruffle feathers over there in North Korea. That dude over there is a few salads away from a picnic if you get my drift. This onto this whole Amendment 2 thing over here in STL about stem cell reasearch; hopefully, folks voted yes so we can find cures to diseases. Although, people are so against abortion that they probably voted no. And then we have Amendment 3 which imposes higher taxes on cancer sticks. I think they should have voted yes on that. People need to let that bondage go. That bondage causes nothing but breathing and other damaging health problems and yet people smoke 2 or 3 packs a day. Puff, puff, give, give o what a relief it is. Yeah right - the only relief a cigarette gives you is a nice blotch of blackness on your lungs. One that is tarrish in color. And the sweet aroma of 2nd hand smoke isn't inviting either. But unfortunately America feels otherwise because people are still rushing out to the corner gas station for a pack of Benson & Hedges or Salem Lights.

2) Halloween - Was your Halloween eventful? Considering the fact that I do not celebrate Halloween anymore; no demonic worship going on in my life. I will say I had a piece of candy. It was a 3 Muskateers - and boy was it good. Mmm, yummy. I attempted to watch a scary movie but I just found it lacking and instead watched Rachael Ray cook. It was more entertaining to watch than Michael Myers choking the life out a young Caucasian chick.

2) Jay Z's Show Me What You Got - It wreaks of the 90's "Rump Shaker." I have always liked the Jigga man but come on now. I know you like sampling but did we have to go there. The video is alright, but I can just see a snipet of it by watching the beer commercial. I am not looking forward to the album although I am sure many are if they haven't bootlegged it already.

3) Spears vs Federline - They are getting a divorce. I guess now Federline will reunite with Moesha's Niecy and Britney can get on with her life. This news isn't a shock to anyone. In fact, people thought Federline was beneath her in the first place.

4) Christina's Hurt - I like the new CAguilera song. Despite its melancholyness, I am convinced even more that we need more talented singers out there like her. All I gotta do now is fork over an Andrew Jackson to go and buy her cd. I heard it's good. I particularly like "Back In The Day." I heard it on one of the urban radio stations.

Life has many parts - catch a few.
