I Better Post Something, It's Been A Few Days

1) Obama's Wife Is No Bill Clinton But.... - She does have the right to speak up for her husband. If Bill Clinton is able to talk about his wife, then Obama's wife can talk about her spouse. I for one am getting rather annoyed at the media for continually being "shocked" by the fact that Obama has a good chance. Could it be that Washington is afraid that Obama will be someone who they won't be able to control? I think so. The media is continuing to talk about whether or not race and gender matter. Yes, they on the one hand, but, African Americans look at the issues just like the rest of the nationalities who reside in this country. The media's headlines and stories lately have depicted us as not being adequate enough to read the issues and decide which candidate is best. That is a mockery and it needs to be stopped.

2) Wendy Williams to be on 93.5 KDAY - I am happy for her. Of course, this will mean reshuffling of on-airs there and perhaps a little downsizing since Ms. Williams is syndicated like Steve Harvey and Russ Parr and Tom Joyner. But I guess KDAY thinks that Ms. Williams will boost their ratings. New York seems to like Ms. Williams {for she is still on WBLS, the last time I checked}.

3) MJ Revamps Old Classics - With the Thriller 25th Anniversary approaching, Michael Jackson has been diligently working in the studio lately revamping the Thriller classics. I have heard all of the remixes except the one with Fergie and I am moderately impressed. "The Girl Is Mine" Remix is perhaps the best of the remixes, but "Wanna Be Startin Somethin" comes in a close 2nd. I am waiting for MJ's new cd that is scheduled to come out later this year.

4) Mariah Carey's That Chick - That is the title of her 11th studio album. She is still debating what will be the first single. I read a few months back that she was hoping to release the album the same day as Janet Jackson's. However, Janet's Feedback is slowly rising on the charts and Ms. Carey has yet to release a new song. I bet both albums will be very good. But I would like to hear a cut from That Chick sooner than later.

I'm Wondering

1) About The 2008 Race - Could it be? Obama is in the lead in not 1 but 2 states. It seems that people want change. That seems to be the recurring theme among the candidates. I personally am a supporter of the Obama bandwagon. I think that if he wins it'll make history and not only that, he will do great things for America. I'm wondering who the Republican nominee will be.....my uncle thinks McCain, but I'm not counting Romney out just yet.

2) Why I Do Things Sometimes? - I made a girl that I liked a cd a few years ago. Why? What was the purpose? I mean sure it was a nice and sweet thing to do....but the fact is we never dated, and she thought of me only as a friend. I wonder now what on Earth was I thinking and will I ever go to that degree again to try and win a girl's heart. For all I know, she has used that cd during a love session wit her boo.

3) Why The Actors Are Boycotting The Golden Globes? - Um, hmmm....boycotting the GGs are not going to make this strike end. Plus, the nominees are getting nominated for stuff that was done pre-strike. Don't get me wrong: I support the writer's strike all the way but that is kinda extreme on behalf of Hollywood actors to boycott. This isn't Montgomery, AL folks.

4) Why The Great Debaters Didn't Get As Much Recognition - That is a stellar movie. I mean granted many do not like to reflect on the "ole" days but Denzel, Forest and Jurnee gave excellent performances. I'ma need 4 Denzel to get an Academy nod for that and if he gets a nom 4 both that and American Gangster please give it 2 him for The Great Debaters. He's already been given the trophy for playin a bad guy so let's give him one 4 being an educator.

5) What Will Happen If Kanyeazy Doesn't Get A Grammy? Despite his previous albums being stellar, Graduation is phenomenal. There are no filler tracks, although, peeps do feel like numero ocho is one of his worst ever; but I don't think so. It fits. All of the tracks with given thought fit the title of the cd. I just hope Mr. West gets it this time.

Cheers 2 The New Yr

Well...Happy New Yr!....

Hopefully you had a good one. I did. I watched Catfish & Black Bean Sauce and drank some sparkling grape juice. It was rather tasty. I pondered at making a New Yr's resolution but didn't. I think I'll just say that it'll be an excellent yr.
