Someone Get Me A Drink

I think more often than not around holiday time most people are either very happy or very depressed. I guess it has to do with some astrological mumbo jumbo or something like that. I often feel the latter during these times. Could it have something to do with reflection on the year and me not accomplishing everything I wanted or had planned on accomplishing? I dunno. Perhaps it has nothing to do with that at all....just me being sad about not being a kid anymore where I could believe in Santa Claus and leave out milk & cookies. That was fun. Yes, waking up to lots of goodies under the un-flocked Christmas tree. But now, I get the dolla dolla bills 4 Xmas, which is very cool. Money does in fact change the numbers to the left of the decimal place in your bank account. BTW I left Bank of America. Yep, done. Caput (I think I spelled that correctly----you get the point). Gone to another banco.

I just finished 2 final exams this past week. Good ole Anatomy & Stats. Fun times. After 4 study sessions of Stats at Denny's, I still didn't finish that damn test. But I did have a 156% homework average so hopefully that helps my grade.

I have been delving into thoughts on the new year and what it will bring to me. I hope it brings me sunshine. No gumdrops however are needed, just lots of sunshine and endless optimism on the future. I hope to discover that being an adult is all that it is cracked up 2 b, cause sometimes I'm just not feeling it. I saw a Toys R Us the other day and wanted some Geoffrey dollars to go and spend there. Oh well....{sigh}

What 2 Say

1) Jordin Sparks debut vs. Blake Lewis' ADD - I was a fan of both, however, I think Jordin's has a fresher sound. Blake's is distinctive but Jordin's has many tracks that you do not skip. The promotion for both was lacking. Itunes didn't even put Jordin's on the main page you see when you go to start spending mula there. I could make it a racial thing, but why bother. But I will say.....Fantasia and Ruben haven't gotten the promotion like others.....wait, I wasn't going to go there.

2) Another High School Musical - There is a point where we need to let go kids. The whole world has not gone crazy over these movies, just the people in them. They could play bank robbers or people with a deadly virus and people would still be going to see them. Just a little thought.

3) I Like Snoop's New Style - I wouldn't call it a new style considering Roger Troutman was famous for it and now T-Pain has picked up on it. Many say that they use a vocoder and other voice fixing audio equipment when artists have bad vocals. But Snoop has been in the game awhile, he can pretty much do most things and still have a hit record. Urban and Rhythmic stations will definitely be his stuff.

4) Kanye Gets The Most Nods - Has he been here before? Of course, now that I've listened to his cd many many times, I have to agree it is his best. Better than The College Dropout....yep. Although based on RIAA certificates, Late Registration has sold the most. I hope Mr. West gets his just due for being a Champion in the rap game. His album besides Common's Finding Forever are the best rap albums of the year. Period. Both pieces of work are flawless.
